RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY
Climate Change Program conducts action-oriented research related to local level adaptation and mitigation with a focus on community resilience, food security, technology transfer and addressing climate-induced loss and damage. Research activities support an in-depth understanding as well as the development of adequate adaptation, mitigation and risk reduction strategies in partnership between practitioners and science. Based on evident research findings regarding contemporary climate issues, the program advocates decision-makers at local, national and international levels to prioritize community resilience building, the involvement of local institutions and technology transfer.
