The seminar featured a keynote by 𝗠𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝗲𝘇𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗸𝗱𝗲𝗿, Head of Climate Change Program, CCDB, who highlighted the climate research landscape in Bangladesh. The event was graced by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚.𝗞.𝗠. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗶𝘇𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻, Vice Chancellor of Gazipur Agricultural University, as Chief Guest. Discussions reaffirmed the importance of CCDB’s Scholarship Program for Sustainable Climate Actions in advancing evidence-based climate solutions and policymaking.
Three thematic technical sessions were held:
🌱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗼𝗶𝗹 & 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 — Chaired by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗯 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿, Director (Planning & Evaluation Wing), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). Expert discussants included 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗱. 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻 (Gazipur Agricultural University) and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗱. 𝗠𝗼𝘇𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲 (BRRI). Researchers from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Gazipur Agricultural University, and Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University presented their work.

𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗸𝘂𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺(Khulna University), 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗶 (University of Rajshahi), and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘂𝘀 (BRAC University). Presentations were delivered by researchers from Bandarban University, Khulna University, BRAC C3ER, and PRAAN.

𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 (Bangladesh Water Development Board), 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝘆 (University of Dhaka), and 𝗡𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗺, Gender Expert. Researchers from Bangladesh Agricultural University, the University of Dhaka, and Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University presented their findings.
The sessions fostered meaningful dialogue among researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners, helping bridge the gap between science and practice while identifying future directions for climate research in Bangladesh.
The seminar concluded with a strategic consultation on the future of the Scholarship Program, facilitated by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗶, CCDB Commission Member and Professor of Public Administration, University of Rajshahi. Participants reflected on achievements, lessons learned, and opportunities to further strengthen climate research, innovation, and leadership in Bangladesh.
